LRC F1 Championship

2026 season rules.

There will be 3 GP's to choose from.

Grand GP:
12 rounds between Sydney and Newcastle. Starting end of Jan. 3 rounds at Castle Hill. 3 rounds at Whalan and 6 rounds at Newcastle. No dropped rounds (scale racing, you must attend and accumulate points to win). Possible bonus round at Winter Champs. 

As the Grand GP will be mixed in with the Mini GP's there will be multiple battles for 1st, 2nd and 3rd going on up the front of the pack and else ware. 

Mini GP 1:
6 rounds at Castle Hill. Starting end of Jan. 1 dropped round.

Mini GP 2:
6 rounds at Newcastle. Starting Feb. 1 dropped round.

Chassis rules:
Any commercially available solid axle F1 chassis. No independent rear suspension or custom built chassis.

Body & Aero rules:
Any commercially available F1 body and wings. No custom made front and rear wings. Custom made aero parts for scale purposes such as rear diffuser, barge boards and front wheel spats are permitted.

Tyre rules:
  1. Rubber tyres:
Brands permitted are eXcelerate RC, Team Powers and Exotek.
eXcelerate & Team Powers available track side at all rounds.
Any combination of compound may be used within the brands range. The same brand must be used on the front and rear. Carpet compounds are also permitted. NO MODIFICATION OR SUBSTITUTION OF INSERTS ON UNGLUED TYRES.

  1. Foam tyres:
Brand permitted is Team Saxo Racing. This a test class for anyone who would like to try something a bit different. Available track side at all rounds.

Constructors rules:
Applicable to all GPs. Join up with a friend and choose an F1 team and livery that you want to represent. Both cars must use the same livery for the entire season. Multiples of the same F1 team are permitted but must use different liveries to distinguish the difference between teams. e.g. 2 x Red bull teams, one team uses a special livery like the Vegas 2023 and another the white Red bull. Teams must have a team name. Points are accumulated from both drivers results.

When registering for the constructors championship please state your team name, F1 team chosen and livery chosen.

Prizes and Trophies:
  1. Grand GP: Similar to 2025 season. Large fancy trophies for 1st 2nd and 3rd. 4th to 10th also get a small trophy & livery torphies. 
  2. Mini GP 1 & 2: 1st , 2nd & 3rd will get a plaque.
  3. Constructors:
  • Grand GP: Purple Sector body of your choice, Livery of your choice, and full tyre set from eXcelerate.
  • Mini GP's: Purple Sector body of your choice.
